Yes, there's a new PlayStation Nintendo Direct next week

Resident Evil 3, is that you?

PlayStation's final State of Play showcase of 2019 airs next week on 10th December.

Sony's pre-recorded presentation will last roughly 20 minutes long, and kicks off at 2pm UK time.

There's "around 20 minutes of new game reveals," according to an announcement on the PlayStation blog. Expected release date announcements and new gameplay footage too.

Sony hasn't confirmed any games for the showcase, but that won't stop the speculation. The Ghost of Tsushima YouTube playlist just got updated yesterday, and the Resident Evil 3 remake is still lurking somewhere out there. It's worth bearing in mind Capcom's Resident Evil 2 remake was unveiled as part of PlayStation's E3 2018 press conference.

If you're hoping for PS5 details, you're out of luck. "It probably bears repeating: Don't expect any updates related to our next-gen plans," the PlayStation Blog post says of the showcase.
