Uncharted 4 marks the end of a ten-year journey for Nathan Drake - the explorer, archaeologist, and charming mass-murderer who redefined what it meant to raid a tomb. After some truly memorable adventures and tens of millions of copies sold, now feels like a good time to look back over the Uncharted legacy and reflect on what's being brought to a close.

So, I did just that recently. I went to Rome to meet a couple of the people behind Uncharted 4, starting with Bruce Straley, co-director on A Thief's End. We talked about just how one goes about making a game like Uncharted 4, and the difficulties that many developers are faced with in telling a compelling story through games.

As close as Bruce Straley is to the Uncharted series, however, there's one man who has lived and breathed the entire experience in a way nobody else has. That is, of course, Nolan North - the man who, in his own words, 'raised' Nathan Drake. And it's a pretty emotional goodbye.
