Trials Frontier gets iOS release date

Gear up.

Trials Frontier will wheelie its way to the iOS App Store on 10th April, Ubisoft has announced. An Android version will follow at a later date.

It's the first mobile version of RedLynx's famed stuntbike series, and one that - rather controversially - runs on the fuel of microtransactions.

However, the free-to-play mechanic is just for the game's mobile version, RedLynx has assured us.

Frontier's big brother Trials Fusion will launch around a week later, on 16th April for console and 24th April for PC.

Fusion and Frontier link up in some way, although the exact details remain under-wraps. RedLynx recently teased to Eurogamer that console and PC players can expect "certain nice surprises" if they try out the mobile version.
