There's a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game for 3DS

There's a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game in development.

It's a third-person action game due out exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS, and is designed to tie in with the new Michael Bay-produced movie.

The publisher is Activision and the developer is Magic Pockets, which made a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game based on the Nickelodeon animated show that released last year.

This new Turtles game is described as a fast-moving hack-and-slash. You can swap between the four main characters at will. You level up, gain abilities and stat points, and craft new weapons at the Turtle's lair.

The Turtles haven't had a good time of it in video game land recently. Last year's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, from Red Fly Studios, were slammed by critics. Will this fare better?
