Namco Bandai has said it plans to patch the online multiplayer side of Tekken 6 after everyone moaned about it in their reviews.

According to Eurogamer's resident beat-'em-up hero Matt Edwards, the lag is noticeable even when you have a solid green connection. Not as bad as King of Fighters XII, he wrote in his 7/10 review, but not as good as Street Fighter IV or BlazBlue.

"To improve the online game experience for players," the publisher said in a statement (thanks Joystiq), "Namco Bandai games is developing a downloadable update which will be available as soon as it has passed rigorous testing procedures."

Incidentally, that patch will be separate to the downloadable update due this winter, which is set to add co-operative support to Scenario Campaign mode.
