Tekken 6 breaks 3 million sales

Series charges to lifetime 39 million mark.

Namco Bandai has said "the best fighting game on the planet", Tekken 6, has sold over 3 million copies around our green and blue world.

The Tekken series has apparently now sold 39 million games globally.

Over 1 million Tekken 6 sales were made between April and June, apparently, and helped the publisher halve net income loss to 1.64 billion yen (around -£12 million) for the quarter.

The publisher's other games, Taiko Drum Master, Ben 10 Alien Force and Super Robot Wars couldn't muster 400,000 sales between them.

Eurogamer deemed Tekken 6 worthy of 7/10.

Namco Bandai has since teamed up with Tekken to announce Tekken X Street Fighter (and Street Fighter X Tekken). Namco Bandai will produce the former and Capcom handle the latter. But whose will be better?
