SSF4 Arcade Edition, Resident Evil sales

Capcom doing OK.

Capcom has sold 400,000 copies of Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D since launch.

It sold 300,000 copies of Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Japan-exclusive PlayStation Portable game Monster Hunter Freedom 3 sold 100,000 copies in the quarter.

Capcom said this morning that Resident Evil and Street Fighter "basically achieved projected sales".

For the first quarter of Capcom's 2012 financial year, sales decreased to 12 billion yen (£93m), down 37.2 per cent from the previous year, but profits rose to 338 million yen (£2.6), up 58.2 per cent from the previous year.
