Sony seeking Android-savvy engineers

As in the Google OS, not evil robots.

Sony could have an Android-enabled gaming phone in the works, according to a recent job posting.

Sony is looking for a Senior Server Engineer to, "Come up with design best practices for building operational effectiveness in applications early in design."

The listing goes on to highlight, "Experience in mobile development, specifically Android is a plus" and "Knowledge/experience of online gaming."

It's unclear whether this refers to the PSP2 that a Mortal Kombat developer reportedly has in his possession, the iPad competitor hinted at in March, a research project or something completely different.

A spokesperson for Sony declined to comment.
