Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric Wii U infinite height exploit lets you skip most of the game

Gotta go fast.

Players of Wii U game Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric have discovered an exploit that lets you skip much of the game.

"DarkspinesSonic" uploaded the video, below, to YouTube after multiple streams on Twitch revealed the issue.

The Infinite Height Exploit, as it's being called, means Knuckles can jump infinitely when the game is paused between hops. The exploit means you can skip most of the game, and speedrunners are already having fun with it.

Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric was developed by California studio Big Red Button Entertainment, which is made up of former Naughty Dog, Heavy Iron, Luxo Flux and High Impact Games staff. Illfonic, creator of shooter Nexuiz, is also listed in the credits. As is, of course, Sega.

There's a Nintendo 3DS version of Sonic Boom, subtitled Shattered Crystal, made by Sanzaru Games. Both launch in the UK on 21st November.
