Skyrim's Dawnguard DLC now on Steam
Bethesda "not satisfied" with unreleased PS3 version yet.
The vampire-themed Skyrim DLC Dawnguard is now available on Steam. It costs £13.99 / $19.99.
Regrettably, it's not yet available on PS3. Bethesda issued the following statement on its official blog:
"We are not satisfied yet with Dawnguard's performance on the PS3. We would like for everyone to have a chance to play Dawnguard, but we aren't going to release it for PS3 knowing that some people's experience in Skyrim will be worse. We do everything we can to have our content available to all; from our free updates, to user mods, to paid DLC. We're as disappointed as our fans when that isn't the case, but we'll continue to push for that reality."
Dawnguard came out a month ago for Xbox 360 where it had a 30-day exclusivity agreement. Our Dan Whitehead gave the add-on a 7/10 in his review where he said, "If all you want is a solid side quest and some good loot, this will scratch that itch. If you were hoping for something more epic and ambitious, keep waiting."
