Sega's unveiled another 10 games for September's Mega Drive Mini

Street Fighter 2! Golden Axe! Wily Wars!

Sega's Mega Drive Mini is due to launch this September with 40 retro classics ready loaded aboard. Today, we know the identity of 10 more.

Joining previously-announced big hitters like Sonic the Hedgehog, Altered Beast and Ecco the Dolphin are:

  • Mega Man: The Willy Wars
  • Street Fighter 2: Special Champion Edition
  • Sonic Spinball
  • Phantasy Star 4
  • Beyond Oasis
  • Ghouls 'N Ghosts
  • Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle
  • Golden Axe
  • Vectorman
  • Wonder Boy in Monster World

Sega first announced its Mega Drive - or Genesis, if you prefer - microconsole back in March, following in the footsteps of similar retro-themed mini consoles from Nintendo and PlayStation.

Intrigued? It'll cost £70/€80 when it arrives on 19th September. Included in the box are two USB controllers. If you live in North America you'll also get a power adapter.

A month later, Sega detailed a second set of 10 games included on the console. Presumably we'll get the final 10 in the run-up to its release.

For those keeping track, here are the 20 games announced before today:

  • Sonic the Hedgehog
  • Ecco the Dolphin
  • Castlevania: Bloodlines
  • Space Harrier 2
  • Shining Force
  • Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine
  • ToeJam & Earl
  • Comix Zone
  • Altered Beast
  • Gunstar Heroes
  • Castle of Illusion
  • World of Illusion
  • Thunder Force 3
  • Super Fantasy Zone
  • Shinobi 3
  • Streets of Rage 2
  • Earthworm Jim
  • Sonic the Hedgehog 2
  • Contra: Hard Corps
  • Landstalker
