Rocksmith release date pushed back

Another delay for Ubisoft's guitar tutorial package.

Guitar tutorial edutainment offering Rocksmith has been delayed until 12th October, publisher Ubisoft has announced.

The game, which launched in the US last year, was meant to launch in Europe for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on 14th September.

No official reason for the hold-up was offered.

The game has had a painful trek from development to retail, with Ubisoft forced to mobilise its legal team on two occasions - once when a UK rock band of the same name mounted a trademark challenge and then again earlier this month over an alleged patent infringement.
