PS4 firmware update will bring Share Play next week

Also includes USB music player.

The next PS4 software update will be out on 28th October, Sony has announced, and it's a big one.

Codenamed Masamune, this new firmware update will add the highly anticipated Share Play feature we detailed in August. This will allow players to remotely watch and play their friends' games through high tech streaming wizardry. Originally supposed to be a launch feature for the console, Sony likened this to a "virtual couch".

This new update will also include a USB music player option, so you can easily transfer your favourite tunes to the platform.

Other features detailed in August include an enhanced YouTube app that will allow players to share videos directly on the console.
