PS3 firmware 3.50 available now

Blu-ray 3D support. Someone tell him.

Sony has released firmware 3.50 for PlayStation 3, which enables Blu-ray 3D disc playback and makes a few other minor additions.

The update introduces a new "Grief Reporting Function" so you can tell Sony when another player disrespects you in front of your girl/dog/cushion.

Not content with that, it allows game developers to grab public info from Facebook with your permission - usernames, profiles, uploaded photos and friends list - to draw on in gameplay, so expect to see that happening in future games.

It's available now according to the thread on the official PlayStation Blog. We look forward to grumpily downloading it next time we turn on our PS3s.
