No more Godfather games, says EA
They're not so keen on licences nowadays.EA Games boss Frank Gibeau has said there won't be any more games based on the Godfather films.
"We're not going to do another one," he told the LA Times. Gibeau confirmed there are no Godfather titles listed on EA's three-year schedule, adding, "The bloom is really off the rose for licensed games."
However, there has since been a bit of post-interview vaguifying going on. A spokesperson for Paramount said, "Plans for the next Godfather game have not been decided."
Then an EA representative stated, "We do not currently have a Godfather game in development. Nothing has been decided as to future sequels. Paramount is a great partner."
Looks like we'll have to wait and see, then.
