Nintendo details E3 plans, no sign of usual event

But there's a day-long Zelda live-stream.

Nintendo will host a day-long live-stream of The Legend of Zelda for Wii U at E3 this year.

In a press release announcing the stream, it was referred to as "Nintendo's kick-off to E3". Zelda, again, was referred to as "Nintendo's focus of the show this year".

There was no mention of the usual Digital Event, less still a live conference.

Nintendo has already said that Zelda will be the company's only playable game at E3 this year, although it will still have a large booth on the showfloor.

The live-stream will begin with an introduction from Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aime at 5pm UK time on Tuesday, 14th June. You'll be able to tune in via Nintendo's Twitch channel, and we'll of course have coverage and hands-on with Zelda from E3 itself.

For news on NX, Nintendo will host its own event later in 2016. The new console is set to debut in March 2017 alongside an NX port of Zelda.
