Ready at Dawn ready to say hello

Developer founded by former Naughty Dog, Blizzard personnel announces project.

Californian developer Ready at Dawn has officially announced its own existence today, and that it has an unannounced console project in the works to debut in the near future. Nothing all that exciting at first glance, then, especially given that they have actually been around since last August, but when the three founder figures share credits from franchises like Jak & Daxter, Diablo and WarCraft, it's probably worth paying attention.

Those men are former senior programmer for Naughty Dog, Didier Malenfant, along with cohorts Andrea Pessino and Ru Weerasuriya, Blizzard's former senior software engineer and senior artist respectively. Ready at Dawn is thought to be actively hiring for remaining spots on its development team.

"The interest we've already generated in the industry has been incredible," said Andrea Pessino, Technical Director and co-founder, "and goes to show that, at the end of the day, it's still about the individuals behind the games and their ability to deliver and turn solid concepts into successful titles."
