Konami unveils 56 licensed PES4 teams

Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan, Juventus, Ajax, Deportivo... The Dutch, Italians and Spanish are all set to be well represented in this year's Pro Evolution Soccer.

Konami has announced that a total of 56 licensed club sides from three different leagues will appear in the European release of Pro Evolution Soccer 4 this year, including big name sides like Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan and Juventus - an improvement on PES3, which boasted only a handful of licensed teams.

The line-up of teams also includes Dutch sides like Ajax and PSV Eindhoven, which seems to tally with recent reports that some 18 Dutch sides had made it in. The reported Dutch list can be found here.

Other teams included in amongst the 56 (out of 136 league clubs) include Feyenord, Deportivo and Parma, and while each of the players for all of the clubs - licensed or not - will benefit from authentic modelling, these special cases should be closer than any other, from official kits to finely tuned statistics in every area.

Pro Evolution Soccer 4 is due out on PS2, Xbox and PC in Q4 of this year. You can read more about it and find some screenshots in our preview, which accompanied the game's announcement earlier this month.
