EA to air pre-show sextet in CA

The world's largest publisher is showing off some of its biggest upcoming titles at its San Franciscan headquarters tomorrow, prior to E3 next month. Burnout 3, anyone?

EA is to show six of its biggest games to press in California tomorrow ahead of May's nuclear games show, the Electronic Entertainment Expo.

Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault, The Sims 2 and the new Need for Speed title, Most Wanted, are all going to get an airing, as are another three titles, expected to be Burnout 3, TimeSplitters 3 and the first in the publisher's plan to extend the reach of the recent, massive New Line movies, The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle Earth.

Journalists from the UK and America are currently converging on San Francisco for the viewing, to take place at EA's headquarters at Redwood City.

EA refused to confirm the line-up today, but the move marks a significant shift in policy for the company, which has never previously chosen to show games in this way before E3.

Activision and Vivendi will also hold pre-E3 showings in California this week.
