Win tickets to GameMore LAN event

Shoot your friends without even paying.

Sunday March 14th is an important date for Manchester. Partly because City are entertaining United in the league that day, and partly because the first in a nationwide series of LAN events is taking place at the Armitage Centre, and runs over the course of the same weekend. The series then proceeds south to Bournemouth, Leeds, Northampton, Portsmouth and Bristol in the following weeks.

The series is being run by a firm called GameMore (pronounced "gam0r" we assume), and they're offering anybody interested in attending the chance to win free tickets to the Manchester leg of the tour. All you have to do is send them an email once ticket sales open (T&Cs on the official site), and, if you're one of the first five to email in, then you get in free.

Even if you don't, you can still sign up for one of the events at GameMore's website, and they sound pretty enjoyable. Gamers can bring their PS2s (with broadband adapter) and Xboxen as well as their PCs, and the LAN will feature plenty of servers for current games (including the Unreal Tournament 2004 demo and Call of Duty) as well as a file-share containing all the latest demos and patches, not to mention voice comms and IRC servers.

You can sign up for GameMore events here.
