Talkman translator revealed

Speak Japanese via your PSP!

More than a year after it was first unveiled, Sony has revealed more details of the Talkman peripheral for PSP.

It consists of a sleek silver microphone that slots neatly into those holes at the top of the machine and comes complete with voice translation software covering English, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.

The software uses a cartoon bird as its main interface and the finished version will include games designed to help you brush up your language skills.

Sony will be showing off the Talkman at - you guessed it - the Tokyo Game Show, so expect more details when we've had a chance to get up close and personal. And most importantly, to find out if it does swearing.
