Massively multiplayer online game developer Turbine Entertainment has issued a statement clarifying what it plans to do with the $18 million in venture capital is acquired last year, correcting an error in its original announcement relating to Dungeons & Dragons Online and the company's relationship with publisher Atari.

In a statement released just before Christmas, Turbine said, "The company mistakenly referred to its upcoming Dungeons & Dragons Online PC CD-ROM game as the organisation's first self-published product. Dungeons & Dragons Online will, in fact, be published by Atari, Inc., which is the sole publisher of all D&D-branded interactive entertainment products. The press release should have stated that this is Turbine's first 'self-funded' project."
