After sneaking out news of a website, Bandai has revealed more about its imminent Tamagotchi game, now temporarily dubbed; Tamagotchi: Corner Shop.

Due this winter on Nintendo DS, Tamagotchi: Corner Shop is a shopping simulation set in the world of the once-popular virtual pet, where you have to open up specialty shops (from a selection including a bakery, beauty salon, dentist's office and flower shop), and develop their businesses by serving customers through mini-games.

These make use of the DS' touch-screen and stylus, allowing you to apply makeup, treat cavities, decorate cakes and complete many other shop-specific tasks, to earn Gs (Tamagotchi money).

Bandai has already recently unleashed more Tamagotchis in the shape of its Connection Version 2 model and the Tamagotchi Mini; one-third the size of standard. Now the only ones who will audibly hear your sins of pet neglect, are your car-keys and iPod.
