Rockstar reacts to blockbusting GTA San Andreas sales
And you won't believe what they said...

After the rip-roaring blockbusting global sales of success of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, after the 677,000 copies sold in two days, after the £24 million generated at UK retail over the weekend we thought we'd ask Rockstar for an official response, as you do.
It took us a few days to wake them up from their 72 champagne-fuelled bender, but today a spokesman proved they are, indeed, alive and well and told Eurogamer this afternoon: "We are very pleased with the global retail sales of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas".
And then promptly popped open another bottle of champagne.
