New PAL Releases Roundup

Wii Fit, new PS2 SingStar disc, more.

What with Grand Theft Auto IV being out on Tuesday, all the other publishers have gone into hiding. Well, almost all of them. Because the men and women of Nintendo and Sony aren't scared; they reckon they're lifestyle enough to compete, and they're not afraid to wear Abercrombie & Fitch sweaters and sing and balance on one foot about it.

Wii Fit is the big one, of course, at least until it settles into a manageable daily routine and loses some of its chub. As Ellie has already discussed and dressed up about extensively, it's rather brilliant, and of course comes with the fabled Balance Board, so you can even work up a sweat carrying it home from the shop.

Elsewhere, Sony is back with another SingStar disc for PS2, for those of you who are prepared to sacrifice the trendiness of the PS3 and its downloadable treats in favour of Chesney Hawkes, Peter Andre and of course Pulp's Disco 2000 in Summer Party. We're not sure of this lot's summer credentials (Umbrella, for example, seems to have missed the point), but we can't stay mad at anything that gives us more Wham. Did you know that Club Tropicana drinks are free and fun and sunshine there's enough for everyone?
