Italian developer Milestone has regained the MotoGP licence and is planning to bring a game out on the back of it this year to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC as well as the Vita.

Milestone's got previous with MotoGP - it developed two games for Capcom based around the premier motorcycle series before giving way to Monumental, a UK studio who are sadly no longer with us.

In the meantime Milestone's been staying sharp by making the SBK games, as well as the officially licensed WRC series.

MotoGP 13's going to be the first fruit of the re-established partnership, and it'll follow a season that has the rivalry between reigning champion Jorge Lorenzo and all-time legend Valentino Rossi returning as the Italian rejoins the Yamaha squad off the back of a couple of dismal years at Ducati.

The game's going to offer all you'd expect from an officially licensed product, with a career and multiplayer modes as well as all the tracks from the 19 race long season.

PQube is on publishing duties in the UK.
