Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D adds FPS mode

And an over the shoulder camera.

Konami has added a first-person mode and an over the shoulder camera for Nintendo 3DS game Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D.

Also added is the ability to walk while crouching, a Japanese retail listing (translated by Siliconera) has revealed.

These mechanics - absent from 2004 PlayStation 2 game Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater - join photo camouflage and suspension bridges with gyroscopic controls in the list features that have been added for the 2012 3DS update.

The touch screen holds all of the game's HUD, allowing the top screen to remain uncluttered. Health and ammo gauges lie over a map of the local terrain.

Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater - compatible with the Circle Pad Pro attachment - is out in Europe sometime next year. It's so big it launches on a 4GB cart rather than Nintendo's 2GB standard.
