Electronic Arts has revealed the minimum and recommended hardware specifications for the PC version of Medal of Honor.

PC gamers will need at least a 3.2GHz Pentium D, a 2GHz Core 2 Duo or an Athlon 64 X2 processor, 2GB RAM, and a 256MB video card equivalent to or better than the GeForce 7800 GT or ATI X1900.

However, it's recommended that you rock up to Medal of Honor with a quad-core 2GHz chip, more than 2GB RAM, and a 512MB video card that's a GeForce GTX260, a ATI Radeon 4870 or something better.

Whatever else you have, you will need 9GB of hard disk space and DirectX 9.0c / DX10. And a CD/DVD drive, obviously, if you want to install it from a disc.

Medal of Honor is due out for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on 15th October. Check out our extensive single-player and multiplayer hands-on previews for more.

Call of Duty: Black Ops, Medal of Honor's main rival, is due out on 9th November on the same three formats, but developer Treyarch has yet to announce PC specs.
