Madden NFL 16's new trailer is bats*** insane

Whoo-ah!

Madden NFL 16 may be another annualised sports sequel, but that doesn't mean its marketing department needs to play it safe. This time out EA put together the strangest trailer imaginable to promote its next football video game.

Dubbed Madden: The Movie, it stars Dave Franco as hero Blade Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse as his sidekick Janet, Julio Jones as henchman Trick Montalban, Rob Gronkowski as the half-shirt wearing Half-Top, Antonio Brown as slickster Sticky Bun, Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan as Lil' Pepper, and Colin Kaepernick as Al Pacino from Scent of a Woman. Whoo-ah!

The plot revolves around Blade's girlfriend getting kidnapped and the only way to get her back is to beat her captor at Madden. Along the way Janet deals with his daddy issues, the gang partakes in a Bollywood dance number, and at some point a T-Rex comes in because dinosaurs make everything better.

Madden NFL 16 will be out on 25th August for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3. Sadly, no dinosaur DLC has been announced.
