LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars will be out on 25th March, not 18th February as originally promised.

Neither publisher LucasArts or franchise developer Traveller's Tales has offered an excuse for the delay, kindly made public by GamersHell. However, it now conveniently ties in with the 3DS launch.

The third entry in the LEGO Star Wars saga looks to the The Clone Wars animated series for inspiration, promising head-to-head battles, RTS mini-games, bigger boss battles and an improved level editor.

It'll be available on pretty much every gaming platform known to man: 3DS, DS, PC, PlayStation 3, PSP, Wii and Xbox 360.

The last brick-based outing for Skywalker and co, 2006's LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, won 8/10 from Eurogamer's Kristan Reed.
