Japanese charts: hardware sales down

DS beats PSP to top spot for once.

This week's Media Create figures have revealed hardware sales fell across the board in Japan.

The DS beat the PSP to the top spot with nearly 56,000 units sold, down from more than 78,000 last week. Sony's handheld racked up sales of more than 47,000.

Even the Wii saw a drop, with 35,000 consoles shifted compared to 53,000 last week. The PS3 was in fourth place (9000) followed by the PS2 (8400).

Last and also least actually was the Xbox 360. Just over 3500 units were sold - less than half the number shifted during the previous week.
