iPhone/iPad Okamiden planned?

Capcom teases.

The sequel to the much-loved PlayStation 2 and Wii game Okami could head to the iPhone and iPad after it's released on the Nintendo DS, according to Capcom.

"A lot of fans have indicated they would like to see an iPhone or iPad port of Okamiden, which would allow players to draw directly on the touchscreen like the Nintendo DS, producer Motohide Eshiro said.

"While we are happy to see fans tell us what they'd like to have done with the game, we can't really consider these options until after the release of the Nintendo DS version." Bah.

We wouldn't be surprised to see Okamiden turn up on Apple devices. Capcom's released a slew of its titles on iDevices in recent months, including ports of Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 4 and Phoenix Wright.

Don't hold your breath, though. Okamiden is without a solid European release date – all we have is 2011.

Keza MacDonald went hands-on for Eurogamer last year.
