Here's a few minutes of The Medium gameplay

"Two fully-fledged and visually distinct worlds rendered simultaneously."

Psychological horror The Medium was showcased in last week's Xbox event with a new trailer that debuted its "dual-reality" mechanic, but developer Bloober Team has also released a trailer that showcases the gameplay.

The additional teaser, which was debuted in the event's post-show coverage, doesn't give away much at just four minutes long. But it does highlight how Marianne can exist in both realms simultaneously and confirms her "Out of Body" psychic abilities need to be recharged with a "spirit well". We also see her "spirit blast" powers in action, too.

Here, take a peek for yourself:

"Take a look at the dual-reality gameplay of The Medium in the first official walkthrough demo. Two fully-fledged and visually distinct worlds rendered simultaneously," the video description teases (thanks, wccftech).

"Discover a dark mystery only a medium can solve. Explore the real world and the spirit world at the same time. Use your psychic abilities to solve puzzles spanning both worlds, uncover deeply disturbing secrets, and survive encounters with The Maw - a monster born from an unspeakable tragedy."

The Medium is out towards the end of this year - "Holiday 2020" - on PC and Xbox Series X and is now available to pre-order.
