GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition sees the return of three classic games in the series - GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas - to modern platforms.

Arriving two decades after GTA 3 debuted on PS2 back in 2001, the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition gives each game visual upgrades - such as improved lighting, high resolution textures and draw distances - and revamped controls.

Original report: The GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition release date is Thursday, November 11th. The release time is the same for all regions and platforms, and is as follows:

  • UK: 3pm (GMT)
  • Europe: 4pm (CEST)
  • East Coast US: 10am (EST)
  • West Coast US: 7am (PST)

These times also apply to any titles being released individually - such as GTA: San Andreas on Xbox Game Pass.

Rockstar has said it is aware the countdown timers on PlayStation Store might be inaccurate - so if GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition is not unlocking on PlayStation, then you must wait until the above times.

In case you were wondering about download size for GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition, the estimates vary.

The official Xbox listing mentions an "approximate size" of 21.85 GB, while Twitter account PlayStationSize has confirmed that all three titles will take up a combined 38.7 GB on PlayStation 4.

The breakdown of each individual title - as well as how they compare to the originals - are as follows. Needless to say, the Definitive Edition's additions have seen file sizes increase significantly in some cases - with San Andreas jumping from 3.3GB on PS2 to 22.68GB on PS4:

Other platforms might vary in size - especially the Switch - and note that since you can download titles individually on some services, their respective download sizes will be smaller than the combined sizes above.

Additionally - bear in mind download sizes can vary from now until the full release in case there are any patches released in between.
