Ghosts 'n Goblins Online is a F2P PC RPG on Steam Greenlight

UPDATE: Posted in error. No plans for a western release.

UPDATE: Ghost 'n Goblins Online's Steam Greenlight page was evidently posted by mistake by the game's Korean developer Seed 9 Games.

"The Steam Greenlight page for Ghosts 'n Goblins Online that went live yesterday was wrongly posted by the game's Korean developer, Seed 9, and the page has now been removed," Capcom said in a statement issued to Eurogamer. "Ghosts 'n Goblins was released last year in Korea, China and Taiwan and currently there are no plans for the title to be released in Europe or North America."

Original Story: And now for something a little different: there's a new Ghosts 'n Goblins game in development at a South Korean studio and it has a Steam Greenlight page.

Ghosts 'n Goblins Online is a free-to-play action RPG with a sidescrolling platform perspective. It popped up on Steam Greenlight today courtesy of Seoul-based company Seed9. There are two trailers (above and below) and a handful of screenshots.

It appears Seed9 has officially licensed Ghosts 'n Goblins from Capcom for the game. We've asked Capcom about it anyway.

Onward to the Steam Greenlight page! According to the official blurb: "Ghosts 'n Goblins Online offers much more gorgeous visual graphics than the previous versions, with the variety of splendid attack skills, an expanded moving range in every direction, and all the redesigned and newly created monsters in 3D environment.

"Enjoy battles with delightful, funny, and powerful monsters!"

There's an "extremely instant response time and various visual effects of attack-skills on the push of attack button".

You can "party-up with friends to explore uniquely designed dungeons and secret levels, and socialize in towns!"

And, for those who enjoyed the old school difficulty of the original Ghosts 'n Goblins games, there's the Demonic Dimension. "Just like the original title, just one hit by a monster makes you almost naked and unarmoured, just underwear, but you can still fight until the second hit which takes your life away.

"Playing in the Demonic Dimension will give you the same exciting and thrilling challenges of the past."

You can fight friends in matches of up to six players at a time (three versus three and one versus one available).
