Free TF2 weekend for Germans

Can pre-load today.

German PC gamers are being invited to try Team Fortress 2 out for free this weekend.

The free weekend is open to all confirmed German Steam users from 4th to 6th January, and if you want to get involved you can even pre-load it in advance.

Meanwhile, Valve continues to support the online multiplayer component of The Orange Box with Steam patches, the latest of which crushes an exploit and fixes that "CUtlLinkedList overflow!" crash. Phew.

As everyone knows, not least because we said so in paragraph three, Team Fortress 2 is part of The Orange Box, which also includes the Half-Life 2 games and Portal.

And as you know, because you pay attention, TF2 and Portal also featured prominently in our end of year Top 50 Games - in the top ten in fact.

So come on Germans, what are you waiting for?
