F1 2009 positioned on November grid

Codemasters pressing the Button.

Codemasters has slapped a 20th November date on PSP and Wii racing game F1 2009.

The announcement arrives as real-life driver Jensen Button attempts to seal the real-life F1 2009 title this weekend in Japan.

To mark the occasion, Codemasters has raced around F1 2009 on the Japanese Suzuka circuit while recording a film and taking some pictures. Those you can find in our F1 2009 gallery.

The Wii version of F1 2009, remember, comes with a plastic Wiimote-holder peripheral. It looks authentic.

F1 2009 is Codemasters' first attempt at the official licence since acquiring the rights last May. We had a go with the Wii and PSP game earlier in the year - check out our hands-on piece for a full analysis.
