EA and Fox doing Spore movie
Ice Age man to direct. As in the film.
EA and Fox have teamed up to produce an animated CG movie based on Spore.
According to Variety, Ice Age director Chris Wedge will direct from a script written by Greg Erb and Jason Oremland.
"I'm always looking for unique worlds to go to in animation," said Wedge.
"From every perspective - visually, thematically and comedically - the world of Spore provides the potential to put something truly original on the screen."
EA is directly involved producing the movie with Blue Sky Studios, while the publisher's Patrick O'Brien and Lucy Bradshaw from Maxis will executive-produce.
