Cliff Bleszinski announces F2P PC arena shooter published by Nexon

It's codenamed Bluestreak. Believe that!

Last week Gears of War lead designer Cliff Bleszinski teased an announcement of his upcoming game at his new studio Boss Key Productions, and now he's revealed that it will be a free-to-play sci-fi arena shooter for PC codenamed Bluestreak.

The famous developer made the reveal on Twitter, where he noted that Nexon will be publishing it.

He later added that it won't be a MOBA and that he'll answer questions about the game and why it's free-to-play, PC only and Nexon-published tomorrow at 5.30pm EST (10.30pm UK time).

“Creating fun and memorable shooters is in my DNA, and making the move to free-to-play games is all about maximizing the potential audience for your title while embracing where the industry is headed,” said Bleszinski in Nexon's announcement. “No one knows the free-to-play market better than Nexon, which is why they were the obvious partner to publish BlueStreak. It's a game and concept I think will really resonate with players who have been clamoring for a new take on an old favorite. After all, I've had a year and a half to plan it.”

Not much else is known about project Bluestreak, but Guerrilla Games co-founder Arjan Brussee is involved.
