C&C FPS in development?

Mags say yes, EA says nowt.

Electronic Arts has declined to comment on "rumour and speculation" about an upcoming Command & Conquer first-person shooter for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Reportedly called "Tiberium", it's been sighted on the January cover of Game Informer in the US.

The bloggers who uncovered it note that it's set 11 years after the end of the third Tiberium war, and is a squad-based shooter.

And while EA hasn't had much to say, we've heard separate reports about it from UK games magazine journalists, suggesting that it's very close to unveiling.

EA's last C&C game was PC and Xbox 360 real-time strategy game Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, with an expansion called Kane's Wrath due out next spring.

However for the last time C&C went first-person, you'd have to go all the way back to C&C Renegade. Not that you would want to, because it wasn't particularly good.
