Borderlands GOTY in October

All the DLC plus a fold-out map.

Gearbox Software has announced that a Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition will be released on 12th October in the US.

We'd expect that to hit Europe at around the same time, but we're checking with 2K. The GOTY Edition is for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

As you'd expect, the bundle includes the original game and its four downloadable add-ons - The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, and Claptrap's New Robot Revolution.

The latter has not yet been released, but the previous three were wicked. All hail the mighty Borderlands.

The original announcement tweet mentioned a "bonus map", which led to some confusion, but a post on the official forum revealed that this will be a physical map hand drawn by Scott Kester, rather than an in-game bonus.

If you haven't played Borderlands, you really should! Check out our Borderlands review to discover why.
