Blockbuster teaming with Sony and Microsoft to reserve Xbox One and PS4 consoles

Retailer throws lifeline to unlucky pre-order customers.

Beleaguered British retailer Blockbuster is working directly with Microsoft and Sony to reserve next-gen consoles for its unlucky pre-order customers.

The chain was forced to cancel all PlayStation 4 and Xbox One pre-orders as a result of its recent financial difficulties, but is now working with platform holders to ensure no one is left without a console.

You'll just need to enter your details into Blockbuster's form, and specify which console and bundle you want.

There doesn't appear to be any way of proving you previously had a console pre-order for in-store orders, although the form does ask for a valid Blockbuster store membership number.

"Thanks for taking the time to give us your details, we will do everything we can to ensure you can get a next generation console for the day of release," customers are told upon completing the form.

"You will be hearing from us shortly on how to reserve a next generation console for day of release."

Anyone wanting to use the form doesn't have long - it must be completed by 23.59pm on 7th November - tomorrow.
