DayZ finally leaves early access next week on PC

After nearly five years in development.

Bohemia Interactive has announced that the PC version of its long-in-development online zombie survival game DayZ will leave early access and launch in its 1.0 guise next week, on December 13th.

Red Dead Online launched in beta last week, and while many had positive things to say about its multiplayer take on the single-player experience, many were less than thrilled with its rather miserly in-game economy. In light of that feedback, Rockstar has taken a first pass at better balancing those areas, and the fruits of its labour arrive today in a new update, along with gifts for all players.

A significant chunk of my formative years can be defined by the heave and splat of hundreds of tiny computer people retching violently onto the floor. BioWare reportedly set to unveil new Dragon Age later this week

Despite being "at least three years away".

According to a new report, which Eurogamer understands to be true, BioWare is set to offer a first taste of its long-awaited next Dragon Age at this week's Game Awards. That's despite it still being "at least three years away" from release.

The seemingly insatiable THQ Nordic has announced the acquisition of yet another beloved, but regrettably dormant gaming IP. This time around, it's classic (and notorious) vehicular smash-'em-up Carmageddon's turn to join the publisher's rapidly swelling ranks.

Between the shambling monsters, meandering cubes, and inter-dimensional butterflies from beyond time and space, Fortnite's sixth season has certainly been memorable. All good things must come to an end however, and Epic has now confirmed that Season 6 only has only three days left to go. On a happier note, it's also shared the very first tease for Season 7.

Splatoon 2 might have just received its very last content update after nearly 18 months of post-launch support, but Nintendo's still not done with its multiplayer shooter. The company has announced that Splatoon 2 will be getting a special winter-themed Splatfest on January 4th.
