You can pre-download the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War alpha on PS4 now

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War alpha is available to pre-download on PlayStation 4 now.

It weighs in at 27.295GB. The alpha goes live at 6pm UK time tomorrow, 18th September, and ends at 6pm UK time on Sunday, 20th September.

This is a multiplayer alpha, and includes three traditional 6v6 modes across two maps, as well as Domination on the new 12v12 Combined Arms mode. It's free for all PS4 users, and you don't need PlayStation Plus either.

As per Activision's partnership with Sony, this alpha is PS4-exclusive. The open beta is a timed PS4 exclusive. If you pre-order Treyarch and Raven's shooter at the PlayStation Store, you can play the beta on 8th October 2020 on PS4. The beta then opens exclusively for all PS4 players on 10th October for the weekend. The beta then returns 15th October on all platforms, ending for all on 19th October.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War launches proper on 13th November 2020.
