Fortnite holds its first movie night this Friday

With one of three Christopher Nolan films on offer.

Cinemas may be set to re-open soon in England, but Fortnite is screening a Christopher Nolan classic in-game this weekend for you to enjoy at home.

The battle royale game's hangout Party Royale mode will screen one of three Nolan films this Friday, 26th June, depending on which region you live in.

Here in the UK, we get The Prestige (nice!) showing at 5pm UK time (okay, a little early). The US gets Inception, while elsewhere gets Batman Begins. To find out what's showing in your country, Epic's Party Royale site has the full details.

It follows last month's live premiere of a trailer for Nolan's next movie, Tenet, which is supposed to be launching imminently... if you really want to go to the cinema and watch.

Party Royale will on Thursday night host a new set from Diplo featuring Thomas Wesley, Young Thug and Noah Cyrus (actually early Friday morning UK time). A reprise of that show will take place on Monday at 5pm UK time if you want to join in then.

A social space with no combat, Party Royale is Epic's new staging ground for live events and promos away from the antics of its (currently water-logged) battle royale island. It's free to hop into, and is perhaps Epic's clearest move yet towards its stated goal of turning Fortnite into a "metaverse".
