FIFA 18's ratings refresh is now a yearly event, where players' FUT cards are updated with some slightly adjusted overall scores.

Here on this page, we'll be listing all the FUT winter upgrades for the Premier League ratings refresh, the Calcio A ratings refresh, and any others that come up in the following days.

We'll also provide a quick explanation of just what the ratings refresh is and how it works, along with answering a few common questions, just below.

FIFA 18 ratings refresh explained - what are the FUT winter upgrades?

Winter upgrade season comes around every - you guessed it - winter here in Europe, once the January transfer window's all wrapped up players have settled at their new clubs.

EA Sports takes it as a time to give a few players a bit of a tweak, to more accurately reflect their performance - although there are a few things to bear in mind:

  • If you already own a player's base card, it doesn't get an upgrade - the upgrades only apply to new cards that you get from packs.
  • In-Form versions of the below players will get an upgrade, but only if their new base rating is higher than their original In-Form card's rating.
  • There are no downgrades this year, somewhat surprisingly given the legendarily poor season players like Bakayoko have had so far.

Also, note that only two of the expected five leagues have been updated so far - we can probably expect the German, French and Spanish leagues to get their own set of upgrades in the coming days, and will update this page when they do.
