Inside, the brilliantly mysterious and beautifully made game by Limbo developer Playdead, is now available for iPhones and iPads.

You can play the beginning of the game for free then unlock the full adventure for Ł7 if you like it, and I expect you probably will.

This is footage from Xbox One but it gives you an idea of what to expect.

Inside was one of the stand-out games of 2016. It follows a boy on the run from men in the night. But why he's running and what's been going on are questions you'll still be trying to answer long after you've finished the game.

It's exquisitely focused with no waste, bloat, clumsy exposition or dialogue, and the care that's gone into the controls and puzzles make it feel crisp and clean to play.

I heartily recommend it.
