Ubisoft's excellent open-world racing game The Crew is free to download on PC from mid-September.

The offer is part of Ubisoft's 30th anniversary promotion, which sees seven PC games released for free - one a month. Download them and they're yours to keep, but they're only available for a limited time (the superb Rayman Oranges is currently free to download as August's game).

Mike Channel reviewed The Crew for Eurogamer back in late 2014, and came away impressed: "It's a game that requires and occasionally enforces patience, but like all great road trips it's about the journey, not the destination."
