Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes announced

For Nintendo 3DS, DS, PC, PS3, Vita, Wii and Xbox 360.

Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment has announced the heavily-rumoured Batman 2: DC Super Heroes.

It features superheroes Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern, and launches in summer 2012 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PC, DS, 3DS and PlayStation Vita.

Lego Batman 2 is the sequel to Lego Batman, the best-selling Lego game of all time. It's sold more than 11 million copies to date.

In the game Batman and Robin and pals from the DC Universe try to save Gotham City from Lex Luthor and the Joker. There's a new, original story, too.

You can explore Gotham City using the Batmobile and Batwing vehicles. Expect new gadgets and suits, such as Batman's Power Suit and Robin's Hazard Cannon. New abilities include flight, super-breath and heat vision.

"We're offering fans a rich and expansive Gotham City environment filled with cool characters, great customization options and plenty of surprises that families, young gamers and DC Universe fans can enjoy together," said TT Games boss Tom Stone.
