EA confirm Quake III for PS2

Collaboration with id Software leads to Revolution

Development/publishing giants Electronic Arts have teamed up with Quake III: Arena developers id software to produce a PlayStation 2 version of the game, titled Quake III Revolution, as we reported last year. EA intend to release the game early this year under their new "EA Games" publishing brand. The press release is mostly fluff, with no real information on new additions and the like, but it does include some jolly comments from both EA's European managing director Bruce McMillan and id's CEO Todd Hollenshead.
